  8. interfaces (GUIs) that are portable across all standard windowing environments,
  9. including Motif, OPEN LOOK, Presentation Manager, Microsoft Windows, and the
  10. Macintosh. Open Interface provides a super set of the functionality and widgets
  11. offered by the native toolkits

  13. Open Interface consists of an interface builder tool, Open Editor, and a set of
  14. libraries for each windowing environment. Open Editor is a WYSIWYG interface
  15. builder that generates portable resource files and a C code template. Porting
  16. an application is simply a matter of transfering the resource files and C code
  17. to the new platform, and then recompiling and relinking. The result is an
  18. optimized executable image with the native look and feel of the target
  19. platform.
